|About Chen Blum
Chen is a prominent Israeli choreographer and teacher resident in Chile.
He has taught classes, sessions and workshops for more than 20 years now and has been a valued staff member at various dance camps. He has danced in some of the leading lehakot in Israel, where he also served as an assistant to some of the country's most valued choreographers, including Dado Kraus, Shlomo Maman and Jonathan Karmon.
Chen has been dancing folk dance since age 7, and although a few years later he turned to a career of a professional dancer, he always kept a very warm place in the heart of Israeli folk dances.
Chen graduated from the Thelma Yelin high school of academic excellence for young artists.
At age 17 he received a scholarship to study with the Contemporary Ballet of Caracas, Venezuela. That same year he performed as a choreographer of several representative lehakot of the Hebraica club in Caracas.
Chen was a dancer at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company's Second Company. He participated as a dancer and dance captain in the Broadway musical "The Producers", produced by the Cameri Theater in Israel, and many other productions.
Chen is currently the director of the folk dance department in the Israeli Circle of Santiago, as well as being the creator and director of the Chile Rokedet camp.
