  About Oren Shmuel
Oren Shmuel was born in Nahariya, Israel in 1970.
He is a certified folk dancing instructor and a dancer with a unique style.
Oren teaches folk dancing in local and national courses, and has worked as a choreographer since 1988.
His first steps were with his first teacher, Yosi Ezra from Nahariya.
Oren was the lead dancer of the group “Hora Nahariya " and graduated successfully from the Teachers Seminar in Haifa in 1992 with teacher Yonatan Gabay.

In the year 1992 Oren created his first dance "Hora Nahariya" which was successful and gave him the impetus to continue creating more folk dances. Oren continued with the ethnic style and composed a lot of other dances, especially to "Eretz Israel" type songs.

Oren's dance creations include:
Ahavatcha, Kesem Hallili, Amen Lamilim, Rolim, Hineh Shana Overet, Taanugot, Yeled Hasadeh, Hora Nahariya, Roni-li, Farahtini, Ima Adama, Simhat Yomi, Re'ach Shel Yasmin

About the dance "Hineh Shana Overet": “The special nice voices of the “Dudaim” duo was a great inspiration to me and encouraged me to create a special dance to it”.
The dance was a big success in Israel and it is taught in many places in Israel and in some of the countries that Oren teaches in internationally.

Oren's dances were performed at the "Carmiel Folk Dancing Festival competitions", winning first prize with his choreography to the song "Tefilat Adam ". (For beginners).

The dance “Kesem Halili” won the first stage in “CARMELIADA” (the most loved dance in the crowd) at the Carmiel Festival 2003.

Oren says: “The first time I heard this melody I remembered elements dances from groups from Europe (Hungary, Ireland) that I saw in one of my trips to a festival in Germany. 22 groups from Europe participated in this festival and Israel won the Second stage. The name of the group was “Hora Nahariya” and I was the soloist of this group."

Most recently, a previous dance of his has won worldwide recognition and is very beloved.
Jerusalem of Gold was always a special anthem of Israel, and now it has become a dance anthem as well.
